This teaching will answer some basic questions about Biblical Mikveh vs Church Baptism

Baptism is a subject that has created a lot of controversy in the Body of Messiah. This is because of a lack of Hebraic context. Did you know that if you are immersed in water that is not moving then that baptism is not Biblically valid? Do you know why you get immersed in the Name of Yeshua? Did you know that baptism is not of New Testament origin? This teaching will help you understand the Hebraic context of Biblical Immersion, not from a Christian perspective, but from a complete Hebraic understanding.

Hi Rico!

Thank you for teaching us. I was wondering in the TaNaK
If there are more examples as you used like the flood
If when Moshe brought out the Hebrews and some Egyptians from
Egypt if when they went through the Red Sea if that was Mikvah.
Was the man that had leprosy that was told to go wash at a certain place. Was that Mikvah? Thanks for your help, my husband watched this with me and wanted
To see Scriptural examples in TaNaK. While we have references in the
Brit Chadashah, it appears there are not so many in the TaNaK. Shalom, Cheri

When I came out of the church and into the Truth of Torah I realized that I needed to Mikvah. At the time I did not understand or know the term Mikvah, I still knew it as baptism. Not knowing anyone who was Torah observant in my area, I was somewhat stuck. For two weeks I fretted over the fact that I knew I needed to be immersed in the name of Yeshuah. Then one day (happened to be my birthday) a very strong conviction came over me to be immersed. So…I drove myself to the lake and I immersed myself in the name of Yeshuah. Not knowing anything about the biblical way to do it…I went straight down making sure all of me was cleansed from my sin of disobedience. However, I was not naked…hmmm.

This past Sukkot I came to realize that I should Mikvah after my uncleanliness each month. That being the eighth after the flow has stopped. There is a Mikvah in my city at the Synagogue. I called to inquire and the first question was, “Are you Jewish?” I answered, “Not exactly. I am a God fearer who desires to keep the commandment of Mikvah.” The reply was, “You do not need to…it does not apply to you.” Long story short, I was given the number of the Rabbi and told to talk to him about it. I never did. I was so disappointed because I desire to keep this Torah commandment. Maybe I will call the rabbi…couldn’t hurt.

Nina Lucas, Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Coming out of the “church” into the House of Israel has been a blessing. It’s only been 9 months and I am so thankful for other believers who want to serve and follow the way of Yeshua. Thank you Rico for helping us and teaching us the Way with a better understanding.

I am looking forward to the Temple Service as taught by Rico in the Psalms teachings. Surely there is such a Temple service now, or Rico, are you going to be the rabbi to make this happen? Perhaps online? I live in Dalton, Georgia, where there has been an empty synagogue for over 2 years now. I’ve been praying for someone like Rico to come bless us with his teachings:) Devora Clark

HI Rico; I was studing Mikveh A Hebraic Understanding of Biblical Immersion; I got parts 1 and 2. In Part 2 you were stating in Leviticus 15:16 that immersion was done 3 times; However when I looked up that scripture it has a totally different meaning in my Bible. When I click to see parts 3 4 and 5 a different page came on and said it couldn’t find it. Please help. I’ve been watching you for several years on GLC and doing Bible Studies and trying to do Torah right, however I am such a baby in this, feeling like I am failing miserably, I live in a remote area and have to learn it all from computor and GLC.

Hey Rico, wouldn’t the first mikveh we see is when Adam was removed from the garden and exited thru the river? Very good teaching and very important! Thanks for all you do?

Thank you Rico for the time that you put into Study so that you can teach us. If you did not do this then we would stay ignorant.
