Genesis 41:1 - 44:17

1 Kings 3:15 - 4:1

Miketz WT

This Parashah covers Pharaoh's two dreams and Joseph's interpretation, Joseph's rise to power over Egypt, and the visit of Joseph's brothers.

The Torah Portion Miketz is a very important portion for us to really understand. In my studies of the Ancient Near East there were patterns that were repeated all around the nations as a way to acknowledge authority. The Ancient Enthronement ceremonies were done by all the nations of the time.

The Israelite way of enthronement used elements of the ancient Egyptians and those elements are present in the story of Joseph and they help us understand to a greater degree the language used by the writers of the First Century writers specially John and Paul.

They used elements of ancient enthronement language all over the New Testament. I pray this long teaching will give you a glimpse of the amount of information we really need to learn to grasp the higher purpose of YHVH in recognizing Yeshua as the future literal king on the earth.

This page includes Torah Portions from multiple years covered by Wisdom in Torah. Each year we covered the Torah from a different perspective so you can explore each Parashah from a different perspective and focus.

Rico Cortes

I am a teacher of Scriptures, Torah follower, and believer in Messiah Yeshua. I have been given the opportunity to share the Word of God with many believers around the world. My work as a servant of the Most High God has allowed me to be a voice to spread the good news of the New Testament, unveiling its truth through context and the obedience to the Almighty through his Torah.

  1. Hi Rico, amazing! This teaching on Miketz 5784 truly is a double edged sword that pierced through understanding truth and revelation of The Father’s and Yeshua’s order in the Kingdom. So proud of you. Shalom, my brother.

  2. General Rico,
You need no defending, your skills with hands and a knife, but I will defend you anyway. Scripture was written to the ancients for us, 1 Cor.10:11. Satan and his minions create nothing only breaking the commandment, do not steal. Case in point: we sing a song, “God gave Noah the rainbow sign, no more water, fire next time….”. Only Noah found grace in the sight of the Lord but his family was “saved” from the water judgement because of his obedience. Water judgment came because of the great wickedness of man and we know that the wheat and the tares grow together until the final judgment of fire. Ham defiles/dishonors his father Noah in some way that the whole continent of Africa is cursed even to this day. Ham might have been a “minion” of Satan imbedded on the Ark, a seed of sin, a tare amongst the wheat. Satan knows the “rainbow sign” belongs to Yah’s people but from the very beginning when the sign was given, he steals what is ours from the Father through Ham passed down to the end of time being used by the gay’s. That’s our sign gays, you stole that from us and we want out sign back, now.
Believers need to be on the offense not defenses, just like the Hanukkah Maccabees. Let us storm the gates of hell setting the prisoners free with Rico leading the charge for our King Messiah, praise His name forever. And all of Yah’s people say, amein.
    Lt.Dan at your service,
    over.

  3. Father is the one who is on trial thus, ye are my witnesses, Gen.3/Ish.14/Job/Ezk.26/Rev.12:10/Matt.4:1-11 esp. verse 9: if you bow down worshiping “me” as your “Father/King” then you serve me ruling the kings of the earth. Yeshua = buzz off dude and the devil departs for a season. Thus the conflict goes on until Yeshua returns at the end of the Book, book of the Revelation of our King, praise His name forever! (regarding part 2 of Rico’s study, ANET)

  4. People who hve dreams should write them down in a journel, so you can check them with Torah and like Rcco says a repetivie dream, must have a Torah instruction in it.

  5. If Josph would have dies, his sons Epharim and Manessah would have been heirs to the thrown; so befoe He died Jacob adopted them into His line. When Joeph died, there were no legal heirs, a Pharaough came who did not know (be in kinship) with Joseph.

  6. Question to clarify: Jesus said the woman with the alabaster of spinkard, annointed his body for burial; not for kingship? It was in the past the legal office of prophet who annointed kings, Samuel. On returing from Babylon the office of prophets was folded into the 120 men of the Great Assembly.

  7. Rico; when I read GENESIS 43 AND VERSE 11; I also wondered about this verse, because if the land of Israel had all these fruits; honey; spices, nuts and almonds and myrrh, then Jacob and everyone had food, but they didn’t have BREAD which is LIFE. LOVE THIS TEACHING.

  8. I thank the Elohim of the universe for blessing us with a brother like you. It is through the wisdom that Yahweh has deposited in you that I continue to understand my note in God’s orchestra. Gracias mi hermano
