Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11

Isaiah 40:1-26

vaetchanan WT

This Parashah covers Mosheh's viewing the land, Mosheh's demand for obedience, the cities of refuge, the Ten Words/Commandments, the "greatest" commandment, and Israel's status as a chosen people

In this week's Torah Portion we will continue our focus on the legality of the Book of Devarim structured as a Suzerain-Vassal Treaty by digging deeper into some prevalent concepts that are found in these chapters. I pray that once we investigate these legal-covenantal concepts in their Ancient Near Eastern context, that we will gain a clearer understanding on how to "love" or be "loyal" to our King and also see how significant the Shema, the Oath is that we speak refers directly to the faithfulness and the "Divine Integrity" of Our KING YHWH.

We will also focus on the other verses of the Shema in Deuteronomy 6:5-6 and expound more into the mindset of the ancient near east and the topic of the heart. It is all about returning to the proper order, function and will of YHWH at the beginning of Creation. This will help us to bring more clarity to the topics of circumcision of the heart, the covenant written on our hearts in Jeremiah 31 , the Parable of the Sower and many other verses dealing with the heart through out Scripture.

I am a teacher of Scriptures, Torah follower, and believer in Messiah Yeshua. I have been given the opportunity to share the Word of God with many believers around the world. My work as a servant of the Most High God has allowed me to be a voice to spread the good news of the New Testament, unveiling its truth through context and the obedience to the Almighty through his Torah.

Rico, Thank you for the teachings. We are truly in the days of repentance. Thank you for supporting your brethren. You are welcome to come again to the tipi at Sukkoth in ok. Shabbot shalom to you and yours. See you soon, James

  2. Praise YHVH for your faithfulness to the teaching of the torah. Toda for hearing the heart of the Father as you call your brothers and sisters of Israel to repent. We too in our household have been very grieved this week as the different things have happened to you precious Hebrew- 2 house teachers. Again, thank you for your precious heart.

  3. Rico, I am so sorry I missed you in Branson, I was there on Sunday, but it was in the evening, and they told me you had already checked out. I will see you soon, as we are planning on going to Israel with you.
Also, I feel like I am one of the hired laborers, who, hired at the last hour to work in the field, have just started to have understanding of Torah. He has been calling me and others to His Word, His Torah, and I am sure that He has plans for me, to share His Torah with the group I have been meeting with and teaching for the past seven and a half years. I believe that Yahweh has led me to you, to find a better understanding of His Word, and that I may seek out His Word as a King of the Most High Elohim! (Proverbs 25:2)
Thank you for all your efforts, and may Yahweh give you His Shalom, His Strength, His Understanding, His Mercy, His Torah to burn in your heart, so you may share it with us.
    Bless HaShem

    A fellow bond servant,
    Ken

  4. Rico,
What an awesome and great God that we serve! Even though you don’t play ball for the carnal side, you keep hitting them out of the park for the Righteous! Messiah said, ….if they hated me, they will hate you….” The comfort in this is that we must be doing something right threating with kindness and love. Who will stand in the gap of the wall? I will. I will stand with you and all of Heaven’s Army. If I am led away, it will be for the sake of righteousness.
Hebrews 10:39 When we awaken and it becomes apparent that there is a war, not framed by the carnal contructs of this realm, but that of a spiritual conflict beyond itellectual knowledge where trusting is the essence of life. Praise and bless YHVH and the redemptive work of Yeshua Ha Machiach-Amen
See you on the front lines!

  5. A word of encouragement for you, Rico…

I praise YHWH for using you as a vessel to bring the Truth of His commandments to those who have ears to hear, and I am thankful for what I have gleaned from you and the other torah teachers – for I have gleaned much. The fruit which I have observed from you, Brad Scott, Bill Cloud, Tony Robinson (I am not familiar enough with Eddie Chumney to comment) has been humility, zealousness for the Truth of YHWH’s commandments, and a desire to bring the Truth to His people.

If we find favor in YHWH’s eyes, may He teach us His ways so we will know Him and continue to find favor in His eyes. May YHWH continue to teach us to act justly, to love mercy and walk humbly in His awesome commandments.

  8. Rico,

  9. I pray that YHVH calm and soothe your throat/voice. You sound as though you have been doing a lot of speaking—and after looking at your itinerary; I see you’ve been at GLC doing some teaching.
I pray that we all become kind, patient, and uplifting to our teachers who give so very much of their time, family-time, and constant travel and teaching; for without these all-giving people we would be still looking for His (buried and hidden) Torah treasures. Psalm 91 has carried me through many trials and hurts….my daughter’s death. In fact I made a copy and posted it on her hospital headboard. He gave and gives me strength. I just have to remember that He is always with me. Blessings
