Patterns of this relationship are seen when Joseph tested the loyalty and kinship of his brothers to Benjamin before he revealed himself and extended blessing to them. We see another example of kinship in the book of Ruth when Boaz was the kinsman redeemer for his brother by marrying Ruth and continuing the lineage of his kin. Yeshua our Messiah is also the kinsman redeemer for Adam, restoring honor to Israel and all of humanity. Though we have sinned and gone astray, may we return to the Master's house and receive restoration and redemption given to us by the King of the Universe.

Itzack shapira had an interesting take on the prodigal as messiah from their writings. Its in YouTube for about 12 minutes. Accentuates for sure
Fantastc! The Torah clearly shows tribal dentiy passes from the father, the wife and children. However, sometime and for some reason, the Rabbis, change it from the father’s tribe to the mother’s. How has this effected the Tribe? Will Yeshua change it back?
I wondered what I would pick up by listening to the parable of The Prodigal Son “again”! You managed to show connections and depths I had not appreciated before!
It’s sad that an adopted or returning wayward child would enter their Father’s Home and think to start rearranging the furniture, making up a new schedule for everyone, throwing out treasured heirlooms, snubbing relatives and preaching to their elders. The lack of humility and gratitude is appalling.
Keep teaching like this and will get it.

Is it possible that because Yeshua is the kinsman redeemer of Israel, and Israel is called the firstborn, that Israel gets the double blessing and not Yeshua? Just a thought. Excellent teaching! Thank you!

Amen brother on the genealogies – both the Matthew and Luke genealogies are characteristically Jewish, totally in keeping with established ancient and Jewish literary practices, not only according to the standards of the Tanakh, but also those listed in the Talmud and elsewhere. They were more interested in conveying truth than scientific precision and accuracy.
