Heb 6:13  For Elohim, having promised Aḇraham, since He could swear by no one greater, swore by Himself,

Heb 6:14  saying, “Truly, blessing I shall bless you, and increasing I shall increase you.”

  Shalom Everyone,

I am very excited to begin this new study to help give us a better and clearer understanding of just how important  the Covenant Oath is in the Scriptures as well as in  the Ancient world. There is so much information woven into this topic and we will do our best to cover much of it. I pray that you enjoy this subject as much as I am  and that the study will be a blessing.

Some of the Topics to be discussed…

  • Definitions of Terms associated with Scripture  & ANE Oaths
  • Recognizing Oaths being Linked to Blessings & Curses
  • Prevalent Oath Formulas
  • “Putting on a Garment/Curses/Blessings”…an Oath ritual.

Shalom,

Daniel

  1. Shalom Daniel,
Thank you for your wonderful teaching. You said that you thought that in Gen15:12 that the great darkness that fell upon Abram was YHVH showing Abram that of the Son Of Man Yeshua whose birth is a miracle would sacrifice His life for the world so is it possible that Abram thought Yistshaq, whose birth was a miracle might be the Son Of Man and did not hesitate to sacrifice Yitshaq when YHVH asked him to? I hope you understand what I am trying to say as I am not very good at putting my thoughts into words. Jacquie

  2. Dear Daniel,
Thank you for your teaching. It is such as blessing to me! All this is new to me, but I find it so enlightening and I am so grateful we have a faithful Elohim who sent his son Yeshua to bring us back into the covenant which He wrote.

thank you sooooo much, Having been “beat about the head and neck” with “you must obey/keep the commands” all my life Finally THIS makes sense………..please do not get me wrong it is imperative to obey them, and to do so as Abraham did…….just get up and go, and have done my best, I am ever so greatful to know why I do what I do.

As alive as the Word of my King has been in the last year or so, even though I have been exposed pretty much all my life, this has brought rest to a weary soul meaning I have been given a “foothold” with this knowledge…….. I feel as if I have been “treading water” for many years, with my head just above. (a type of “trial by ordeal of water”?!)

It is an honor and privileged, Todah Abba, for the blessing of understanding covenant’s, this has magnified His word, like nothing has ever in my life.

  4. FOUND PART ONE!!!
I was having problems with the site due to IE…viewing with CHROME and all looks great now!!

  5. Thank you, thank you, a million times thank you. This was excellent! I have been studying everyone of these ANE teachings from the beginning and I am continually amazed at the incredible understanding you guys are getting and teaching further to the “family”. I am learning how absolutely important it is to understand the ANE history and culture in order to understand the Scriptures. And I am continually in awe of the understanding this is bringing about our great Suzerian King- what His Words mean, what His promises mean, what His Covenants mean- truly incredible teachings- thanks again brothers!

    1. Thank you Chris, I am glad you enjoyed it. This series is going to keep us busy for a while. I am currently preparing part 2 …”THE OATH,THE CURSE AND THE GARMENT” This will add an additional perspective to our understanding of the Garment in ANE and the Scriptures and how it is tied to the oath of a covenant.
      Shalom,
      DANIEL
