Genesis 47:28 - 50:26

1 Kings 2:1-12

Vayechi 2022 wt

This Parashah covers the adoption of Yoseph's two sons and the final blessing of the sons of Jacob. This Portion deals with the prophetic restoration of the whole house of Israel. The story of Joseph as the Messiah figure in the role of the king and how the final restoration will not happen until the whole house of Israel is gathered as one.

We are connecting the story of Ephraim and Manasseh with the Ancient near East laws of Adoption. Did you know that the language Jacob used in the blessing to the children of Joseph lines up perfectly with the International understanding of Adoption in the Ancient world. I will do my best to connect that language to the letters of Paul and the clues left for us all through our Scriptures. We no longer need the approval of any system of Religion including Judaism.

We respect our older brother Judah and will learn from them but they do not hold the key to enter the kingdom only our heavenly father dictates who is His or not. Yeshua's work of redemption will guarantee our share of the inheritance in the kingdom. I praise our father YHVH for opening the way of Salvation and enter with the full rights of a citizen into His perfect Kingdom.

  1. Look at the creation day of fish, is only one to receive a blessing of multilication. Some eat fish to receive a blessing for sons.

The Net is the Torah, not gospel; have to make a distinction or Christions will relate to their old ways; also anything mentions lattice work. Some of the fsh will not come near a net, some are caught up and fall out the net, and some jump into the Net (Torah). Scrolls have lines arcoss and lines down.

  2. Leah was the first married – but she was not the wife of 1st position and Jacob LOVED Rachae, that’s why her sons, Joseph then Benjamine were the 1at born. Judah retained a leadership position, he kept the oracles of G-d, but Ephraim retained 1st born. Today Judah only has 1/3 of the land, and can’t hold it down (also don’t have Covenat as government; they have Greek Trojan Horse Democracy) when Epharim returns they will together hold down the whole land and they will lie down and not be afraid anymore.

  3. Rico, this teaching was so eye opening and aspiring 🙂 Thank you very much. Yahweh bless you abundantly for teaching His Torah. Thank you for all the time you put in to study and teach Yahweh’s people. I know it is a great sacrifice. Words can’t express how grateful I am to you for that.

  4. I’m thinking if Joseph didn’t embalm Jacob, then the Egyptians would have been offended by the Israelites and not let them take him to Machpelah. So, for the purpose of getting Jacob out of Egypt, they live in the world, not of the world, they do as the Egyptian do, in order to gain favour, get out of Egypt, and fulfill the promise to Jacob. It’s like we here in the diasporah can’t really do “Pesach” the way the Torah commands, instead, we do it to the best of our ability with a memorial Seder Service… until we can get out of the diasporah and return to the promised land and the restored Temple services..

  5. Hello Rico in beautiful sunny “Puerto Rico”. Am listening to your teaching on Bereshith 48 an you mentioned looking up the names of all 12 tribes et their siblings. I did that but have some questions about the double meaning of some of the names……
Also Chanukah, taking the word apart spells Enoch which mean dedication, voila it comes from Chanukah.
Looking forward to your comments on ALL the names in the 12 tribes.
We enjoyed your live stream very much.
I should mention that we are in beautiful Southern Indiana covered in 9-10″ of snow!
Thank you again for all you/family do for the kingdom.
