Don't Forget to
This Parashah covers the Passover, the final plague on Pharaoh's son, and the flight from Egypt. This week's Torah Portion is one of the most important of the Year. We as followers of our Messiah and Master Yeshua know this Portion is a type and Shadow of the redemptive story YHVH is teaching us via the Torah. But, I also believe that YHVH is teachings us also other dimensions of His master plan for humanity and in this torah portion we will see what is the meaning of the blood on the door as the threshold covenant. Also, we will know about the festival rituals practice by the Egyptians once a year and which animal they worshiped. WOW, I can not believe how much information about the authority of our King is found in this Portion. YHVH HE IS ELOHIM!!!!!!!!!!!, and He will make his name known in this world and the world to come.
This page includes Torah Portions from multiple years covered by Wisdom in Torah. Each year we covered the Torah from a different perspective so you can explore each Parashah from a different perspective and focus.
- 2010 Portions: Focus on Messianic connections in the Parashah
- ANET Portions: Focus on the ancient Near Eastern cultural context of the Parashah
- Mitzvot Portions: Focus on explaining and exploring the commandments found in the Parashah (in progress)
- 2015 Portions: Revisiting the Parashah looking at the ancient cultural context more in depth with additional areas that have been researched
- Brit Portions: Focus on connecting the Brit Hadashah (New Testament) to the Parashah

So a Passover Sedar is more than “a Tradition” it is a Covnantal Meal with Yeshua; so Christians and especially if a “church” need some teaching preparation. And yes, when the blood when on the door post, the Children, LEFT their foreign home, eqypt, church, and headed to the promised land; with YHVH as King not a “religious” leader.
This is how you enter the Kingdom, not enter another religion.
I don’t understand, why is it said, ‘Behold the lamb of Elohim, who takes away the SIN of the world.”/ When does a Lamb take away sin? I don’t find it in the carts of the Stone chumas as a sin offering. Please help.
Oten the reason others don’t teach about New Years’s is they want christians to come and “feel comfortable”; need to put an end to other’s feeling comforatable with us; we demonstrating and teaching with kindness why we don’t do certain things. The time is late, the hour is near. The Kingdom is at hand.
Ricco, thak you for mentioning, “we are not Christians” and about Gregorian/Roman New Year’s Eve; few teachers do. The Glailee is my favorite place in Israel; and was horrified to hear of the New Year’s slaughter. Down with Sylvest’s Eve.
Of course this is THE torah portions of all torah portions!! Interesting that in Chapter 10:29 Moses said “You have spoken well. I will never see your face again.” And yet……….in Chapter 12:31-32 Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron (by night) and said “Rise, go out from among my people, both you and the children of Israel. And go, serve YHVH as you have said. Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be GONE; AND BLESS me also.”
In one verse it declares that Moses shall not see Pharoah’s face again and yet he was summoned before Pharoah afterwards. However… in the night, the darkness; in secret he finally said GO!! So although Moses appeared before him, he maybe did not “see” his face…….. and in total humility and defeat, Pharaoh/the oppresser asked for blessing. Rico…this is prophetic. What do you make of this??? In relation to our time as a pattern? Thanks for this excellent teaching!!!
We need to see the altar get set up so it can be destroyed. That has to happen before this Passover if this is the year the Great Tribulation starts. We only have about 6 weeks to get it set up.
It could happen. There is no prophecy about the length of time the altar will be operational. The prophecy is about the amount of time it will be non-operational before Yeshua comes. So, we could still it get set up this year.
If it doesn’t happen, I have no explanation why all those dates correspond so well.
In order to even imagine what could possible occur this Passover that would be significant, we would have to study the Passover that night in Egypt. We are in spiritual Egypt now, and we are to place the blood on the doorposts. Passover happens at the time of the full moon, which in rabbinic understanding it as Messianic time. This Passover will the full moon be eclipsed. For seven days prior, we will be removing leaven [sin] from our lives, our hearts, and our homes.
Did you know that it takes seven days for leaven to go through the dietary system? Interesting co-incidence.
We shall celebrate this mo’edim for seven days. We have looked long and hard for the fulfillment of the Feast of Unleaven Bread with the Lord’s first coming and seen touches but no complete fit like Yeshua fulfilled the Passover itself and First Fruits.
Threshold covenants…the blood on the doorpost. This was given to those who are coming a part of the family like in a marriage. Passover is the threshold covenant.
The word of cup in hebrew also mean basin, cup, doorpost, threshold. Threshold covenant has a cup which catches the blood of the Passover lamb sacrifice. A cup of trembling from Revelation could be about the current battle for Jerusalem. Jerusalem is also known as the door way to heaven. The east side of Jerusalem temple is known as the threshold of the covenant…
So will the first born die? Will the children of God have light while in the world’s homes is darkness with no light in them, nothing but death? Yeshua blocked the angel of death from entering into the homes of those who had the Passover lamb blood on the doorpost. In Revelation 11:1-2 you have two groups of people, those who are outside the temple and those who are in the temple and being counted as His. Those that are in the outer court are slaughtered. Blood is a sign for the believers. Yeshua is the door. This same covenant is used when one crosses from one country to another.
Exodus 12:12
“On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.

Shalom Rico,
Thank your for your detailed teachings, I joined up soon as I could. This is Angel from Florida formally of New Jersey, we spoke a hand full of times. As for any one complaining about the length of the teachings. How are they going to endure when we are praising and Worshiping day and night in the presence of the Almighty??? Anyway , there always has to be a critic. I Thank you for the courage to do what you are doing and for sharing you knowledge. Praise YAH for brothers like yourself.
Shalom,
Your brother in the Moschiach…
