  1. Great Job…you put in so much study and keep your focus to the Word. Excellent. Have listened to you several times. May YHVH bless you and keep you and your family!!!

  2. In order to avoid any copyright conflicts, I have changed the intro sequence’s music as well as updated some of the video effects. The new intro contains a clip from “Am Yisrael Chai” by The Hebraism Music Project. I want to thank Solomon for allowing me to use his great music for my intro.

If anyone is interested, you can check out The Hebraism Music Project’s website at http://www.hebraism.org/Hebraism/Home.html, or you can go on iTunes or Amazon and purchase the first album called “Born at Home Sessions Vol 1”

    Shalom,
    Ryan

  3. I was just reading through one of Brad Scott’s power points; Torah comes from the root yarah and the word yarah is used in Hoshea 6:3 as the word ‘rain’.

‘So let us know, let us pursue to know יהוה. His going forth is as certain as the morning. And He comes to us like the rain, like the latter rain watering the earth.’

So the latter rains, which I believe is associated with Shavuot, is also associated with the Torah and could I suggest with restoration of the Torah!!

    1. Just a quick note. Thank you!
Great work on the Shadows of the Kingdom..

Its was nice to hear and see you, after all the replies I have read from you on the blog.

      Shalom,
      Scott

  4. Shalom all,

Thank you for all the encouragement. I am humbled by the amount of people that have been able to watch this video thanks to Rico giving me and Daniel this opportunity. I look forward to learning more and sharing more with everybody.

This is the first time I’ve done video editing before, so if anybody has any suggestions for improvement let me know so that I can deliver the best possible message.

    Woody,
That connection between Orpah and Esau did come to mind when I was studying. There is so much in the Book of Ruth, I probably only covered about 25% of what I learned doing this study.

I do like your connection with Matthew 3, I didn’t remember that John mentioned not being worthy of the shoe. In light of the ANE understanding of the shoe, John was saying that he was unworthy to bear Yeshua’s ownership and authority over the earth. And that because of this authority, Yeshua alone has the right to tread the threshing-floor and separate out the wheat from the chaff in the body of Messiah.

  5. I really enjoyed the teaching Ryan!
Do you see any connection between Orpah and Esau? I find it interesting that the meaning of Orpah deals with the neck.
Rth 1:14-15 And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her. And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.
    Compared with:
Gen 33:4 And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
Gen 33:16 So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.
And we know what happens to Esau/Edom through the remnant of Israel:
Isa 11:14 And they shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines on the west; together shall they despoil the children of the east: they shall put forth their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
Another interesting parallel is shown here:
Mat 3:11-12 I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire: whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing-floor; and he will gather his wheat into the garner, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.
I love how these two verses connect with Ruth through the themes of the shoes, threshing floor and the one who has the authority, Messiah Yeshua.
I believe this next verse builds on the idea set forth in Matthew 13:33 and that being the enlargement of the Kingdom and the separation of the righteous and unrighteous.
Mat 13:47-50 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach; and they sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but the bad they cast away. So shall it be in the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the righteous, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

    Great teaching Ryan,

As I mentioned under Daniel teaching, I very excited for Rico, Daniel and yourself, and the way that the website keeps inspiring us all to learn, to Love our Creator, and to draw us closer to our Messiah.

    Shalom

  7. Thanks for the teaching Ryan! I will definitely have to watch it again, and I am looking forward to diving into the reference material for myself. Look forward to more teachings in the future!

    Blessings!
