I am a teacher of Scriptures, Torah follower, and believer in Messiah Yeshua. I have been given the opportunity to share the Word of God with many believers around the world. My work as a servant of the Most High God has allowed me to be a voice to spread the good news of the New Testament, unveiling its truth through context and the obedience to the Almighty through his Torah.

  1. Brother, what you are doing is glorifying and very beneficial to my whole family. Knowing you from our past fellowship, I knew that this would be blessing to believers and those with a thirst for the “Truth.” And as you always say, “His word is truth.”

Congratulations on a wonderful beginning to helping us all to grow together in the “Word” of our Elohim. May Yah bless you richly and watch over you and your wonderful family.

  2. thanks Rico for doing the torah Portions! I am catching up …wasn’t able to listen to last week. WOW …so much great info. We are so blessed to have you.

  3. Rico, could it be that he cursed Cannan because G-d had already blessed Ham in the previous chapter? Man cannot curse what G-d has blessed.

BTW – our group got several wows! 🙂
    Shalom & “eat your oats”

  4. Bonjour Rico, Shabbat Shalom,

Thank you for sharing your studies and for your insights. Very interesting! My wife just asks if you could slow down a little bit. She sometimes has difficulty to follow along!!!

    ; – )

At one point of this week’s Torah lesson, you ask ask the question as to why it was Canaan who got the curse, and not Ham who committed the actual sin?

    Two fold possible answer….

1- In Genesis 9.1 we see Yahweh bless Noah and his sons, including Ham. Therefore since Ham was blessed in the first place, he could no longer be cursed.

2- If, like it is believed, Ham had a relations with his mother, while Noah was sleeping, then the curse was on Canaan, not on Ham because Canaan was the offspring of the relationship between Ham and his mother.

The above is the conclusion Tony Robinson reaches! If you want an amazing biblical back up to the above conclusion, here’s the link: http://restorationoftorah.org/ThinkingThematically/FloodSodom.htm

    Greetings and blessings from France,

    FX

    1. FX, I thought of that too, with regard to Canaan, but it seems like the curse came as soon as Noah was awake and Canaan would have been just concieved, not born or named yet.
      Shalom, Joan

  5. Another great teaching this week Rico!!! I can’t thank you enough for all the time and care you put into sharing your knowledge with us. I look forward to each week studying Parasha with you and the other members. Thanks so much to you, your loving family, Victor, and all who help to bring us this website. Baruch HaShem and many blessings on all of you.

  6. Thank you! 50 years ago, who imigined we’d meet in the air over Shabbat table in nano seconds.

I enjoy your home setting and the references. People need to see what “study” looks like; it includes reading of the text and other references. I also like lots of maps of various eras. We’ll we hear more about the name Shem as dividing the land?

Blessings on your Household, Your Basket, Your Bread and your Wine!
    Ms. Jan

YHVH bless the work of rico’s hands.YHVH bless rico’s household. YHVH bless your set apart name. YHVH bless this shabbat. let your will be done.

  8. Thank you, Rico, for all the time you prepare and give to us. I love your addition of rabbinical and historical writings like Jasher….they do give additional insight and you bring a great balance. I recently listened to your teaching on the “144,000 and The Song of Moses”…..WOW, we have even been robbed of our music……I have just received the Music From God CD’s…..WOW. I am very grateful for your willingness to share with us whatever you are learning. Looking forward to next week’s study. Blessings to your family and you!

    1. I also appreciate the inclusion of Jasher. I have been reading Jasher and Enoch the last few years, as well as the Appocrypha. There is so much additional information, more pieces to the puzzle. It may not be on the level of scripture, but it fills in some of the nagging questions that remain because of the brevity of Scripture.

  9. Shalom Rico, The blessing over the Torah is so beautiful. Do you think you can slow down when you chant it so that we can do it with you in our homes…hehehe. Many blessings on your head from HaShem for sharing the wisdom and knowledge he has blessed you with. Baruch HaShem

  10. Shalom Rico, just a quick note to let you know that you bless us so much with what you are doing here! My husband and I can’t wait to get to the teachings and the amount that we have learned in just the first portion was great. We are very new to the Messianic movement – we have only been 7 months on this path of Yahweh and being taught the truth is just such a privelage. Thank you for you time and effort. We appreciate it. May Yahweh bless you and make His face shine upon you.
