Don't Forget to
This Parashah covers the death of Aaron's 2 sons and the laws of kashrut. It's very important so that we can understand the wonderful love that YHVH has for us, and how HE always desire to keep us healthy but obeying HIS commandments. I will show you scientific evidence why the clean animals are edible and why the unclean animals are not.
Also, Understanding the principles of Suzerain-vassal Covenant will give us a better perspective why Yahweh is so specific about us eating what He says so that we can stay healthy. We are a reflection of our King and if we are sick then the world will wonder why our king does not keep us healthy. So, in his wisdom knowing the end from the beginning gives us instructions so that none of the diseases of Egypt will come upon us. Obedience to his commandments will set us apart from the world.

Please tell me, when is the month of Nisan, what are the days when we are to observe passover, and exactly how are we to do this?
Greetings & Shalom. This question is not based on my desire to eat unclean — I totally “GET IT”!! However, I have friends who constantly lean into the story of Yeshua saying “it’s not what goes into the mouth but what comes out that defiles a man.” I see this discussion that Yeshua is having is more on the subject of hand-washing and soliciting traditions as commandments as the “defilement” but somehow a lot of people interpret this passage as Yeshua ‘hereby declaring all foods clean’. While this DOES NOT sway me to eat pork or any other unclean animal/reptile/bug, etc., I am wondering if there’s a way to help my friends better understand this passage.
Thank you soooo much. What an outstanding teaching on the dietary laws! The best I have heard. I apprciate your dedication. I have learned much and get more blessed with each lesson. May the Father bless you abundantly. Shalom
Carolshmarol, Would you mind relisting your question as a new forum topic? That way it won’t get lost inside of this thread. Also, have you tried reading those verses in different renditions?
yhvhseven: Thanks for the heads up on Norwex laundry detergent – aside from putting off static, does it allow for the clothes to come out softened as well? That would be great!
eeeeewwwwww…..I am sufficiently grossed out. We have been meat kosher for over a year now and I learned about gelatin about 6 months ago (my boys were not happy about no more marshmallows and pop tarts) but I am just learning about cheetos, doritos and dryer sheets…..thank you so much, Rico, for all of the study you do for our benefit. Have you done any teaching on ‘leaven’ and ‘kosher for Passover’? I have been doing my own study on that one and, wow, is there a lot of stuff we have to get out of our house for that week.
Shalom and many blessings to you and your family, Brandy
Nobleronin4 – when you go to the torah teaching the powerpoint for that is usually at the top of the page where the video’s are.
Marcelle – before you start your video’s try opening the powerpoint in a new window. Place your mouse over the powerpoint link, right click and choose “Open link in New Window”. This will open a new window with the powerpoint. Then go to your toolbar at the bottom of your screen and right click on it so that you can choose “Show Windows side by side”. Now you should be able to watch the video and the powerpoint at the same time. You can also adjust the size of the windows by placing your mouse over the windows frame, click and holding it to drag it to different sizes. Hope this helps.
Maria – Please, say it isn’t so about Cheetos having pork enzymes! 🙁 whaaa!

Do you know what the biggest organ of the body is?
It’s our skin.
We breath through it and absorb through it.
I enjoyed the teaching on eating kosher. My family and I eat kosher and you can tell the difference in the way your body functions. THANKS!
Based on unclean meats digesting in just 3 hours and what you said about items being unclean until even, that would explain why we are unclean only until even when we eat those things. Interesting.
I am really computer illiterate. How do I find the power point associated with the Torah portion…. in refrence to Shemini?
The link is at the top of this page.
Rico, thank you for the wonderful teaching. I learned things I didn’t know epically about the veins and arterial differences between clean and unclean animals.
What worries me was a news report several months ago about salmon fish. They are clean of course but scientists are trying to breed a fast growing salmon by crossing it with an eel which is unclean.
IF those ever got into the wild and breed it could pollute that whole particular strain of salmon.
I have a question about the teaching. I totally get not eating unclean. I don’t understand about papertowels? So we aren’t to use any products that have unclean animal products? I’m sure there is a simple answer to this and I’ll feel stupid after you answer but this was new to me. Thanks!
I could be mistaken, but I think Rico’s point wasn’t so much that you can’t use paper towels. Obviously, that’s not something we ingest. What I took from it was that manufacturers, with all their cost-cutting measures, are, in a sense, causing us to be unclean by all the different ways they “inject” pork into commonly used products. I never knew pork was used in the production of those things, but how sneaky that is. Especially like with the medications. Those are definitely a problem since we DO ingest those. I can’t tell you whether to use paper towels or dryer sheets containing pork derivatives is a violation of Torah, but I’d guess that if manufacturers were Torah observant, the use of those ingredients would never have come about.
Shalom!
Another thought is that you could possibly say that those things DO make us unclean because it causes us to come in contact with the carcass. Could be a bit of a stretch, but not impossible.
RICO
I think that quote is ” It takes more faith to NOT believe the Holy Scriptures than it takes to believe”
