Don't Forget to
This Parashah covers the restoration of Yoseph to his family in Egypt. This Torah portion is a great biblical example of Prophetic types and Shadows in the Bible or Using Jewish levels of interpretations it would be a Sod & Remez, Joseph as the Role of Moshiach Ben David. Truly Yeshua was correct when He said Moses in the Torah spoke concerning him.
The Future restoration of Israel is found in this Torah Portion and prophetically we are living right now some of the signs of the chaotic situation in the world today. Is amazing how wise is our King that truly reveals the end from the beginning.
We will also take a look at the position Joseph held as Grand Vizier and Establisher of Justice and Righteousness in Egypt. This concept of justice or ma'at in Egypt was the basis for all things in not only government but in the individual's life as well. By investigating Joseph's life as Vizier, we gain even more insight to Yeshua's coming as the True Establisher of Justice and Righteousness on all the Earth.
This page includes Torah Portions from multiple years covered by Wisdom in Torah. Each year we covered the Torah from a different perspective so you can explore each Parashah from a different perspective and focus.

Hi Daniel! Interesting info on the Grand Vizier. I was reading on Wiki about Maat and I found this interesting: the goddess of justice, truth, order, law, morality, balance, and righteousness. According to Egyptian tradition, she regulated the stars, seasons, set the order of the universe from chaos, her primary role was to weigh the heart of souls and see if they made it into the afterlife.
Many connections to Yeshua being the True Grand Vizier! I am glad you enjoyed it.
Daniel
An eye for an eye and Psalm 92:11: Is it righteous to pray that Adonai removes all terrorists and palestinian trouble makers in Israel and then for Israel to open the doors for Torah-observant Christians and Messianic Jews?
As I understand it, no man has seen the face of the father. different from ascending to heaven? I have been to Oklahoma, but, did not see the governor while there.
I have no idea what the answer is, but my first thought is what is the Hebrew word for “heaven” in both incidents?
I’m having to reach way back in my memory files here (LOL), but in Hebriac thought aren’t there three levels of heaven: one for atmosphere, one for the stars, and one for YHVH’s dwelling? (Something like that).
If the word for heaven in Yasher is different than in John 3, then maybe that explains it.
Blessings!
Sorry to say, if I am in error, but can the book of jasher, often referred to be trusted? John 3:13 clearly states that no man has ascended to heaven except He who descended from heaven, Yeshua. Where the book of Jasher states in Chapter 4, verse 2, and when Enoch ascended to heaven….
I’m just saying…
Thanks again Rico! I am learning so much from you and the other teachings on this site. Up untill a few years ago we were looking and looking for the teachers, then we met LeeLee who told us about Brad Scott, and then we also learned of you! You are truly sent from YHWH, you are a good teacher. Don’t let this go to your head, but we love you.
Glen
Dear friends.
I thank you Rico & company for all you do. It is obvious that the most High continues to bless you that you may teach others….
Please excuse any misunderstood Parsha but I would like to throw something into the ring if possible………..
Jesus saves.!
We have all heard this many times before but have we really considered how much He (Yashua) loves His people. Looking into the Parsha……….
We have Yoseph hidden to the world with his pagon dress, pagon language, pagon customs etc & as long as the pagons (Egyptians)came to him for salvation, they where saved……
Then we have Yosephs brothers coming to him but due to the pagon dress, pagon language, pagon customs etc they didn’t know him…… (Jews vs Jesus)
After a bitter arguement between Yoseph & Yudah (see book of Jasher) the truth was revealed…… (Jews feel more threatened by Netzarim more than any christian)
Once the brothers accepted him despite all the pagon routine, they where not only saved but where richly rewarded with the best of everything…….
Could it be feasable that Jesus, the pagon covered saviour saves (but that’s as far as you go) but Yashua the genuine Moshiach not only saves but richly rewards……?
I ask this, as I truly feel for the millions of christians out there that rely soley on Jesus that are sincere & will probably never hear of the Hebrew roots movement or Messianic Judaism etc. Surely they cant all be doomed
Shalom Rico
Thank you for all the work that has gone into these wonderful teachings we are having. We have had many things happening lately, and was unable to view Mikketz last week, so took in Mikketz and Vayigash on last Shabbat afternoon – truly amazing message – we appreciate your honesty. You get right in there to tell us how it is, not many Torah Teachers tell it straight to their listeners as far as focussing on that which edifies, and stop focussing on that which does not edify – strong power given to you from above in this – takes me to the scene of Yahushua going through the Temple grounds; or to Pinchas – YHWH said to Mosheh, “Pinchas the son of El’azar, the son of Aharon the Kohen, has deflected my anger from the people of Yisra’el by being zealous as I am, so that I did not destroy them in my own zeal…”
Rico – thank you for your service! I am so blessed by these teachings! I felt so strongly convicted regarding my lack of “servant-heartedness” in regard to our brothers, and the point from last week’s teaching on Benjamin being the servant hit home! I do have a question about not everyone being the bride – I just recently heard another teacher bring up this topic, and it is new to me – maybe others have insight as well, but I would like to know what scriptures direct that thought. I am still seeking to discern tradition from truth – so if anyone has any insight, please share!
Shalom,
Briana
