Shalom Kulam: This Teaching is an intensive study on the Laws of Adoption and the Ancient near East in light of the Scriptures. I pray that you will get an better understanding of one of the main issues that is dividing the Hebrew Roots movement right now. Identity, is the main concern of every Hebrew roots person once they come out of Christianity and finding our place in the kingdom is become a topic of controversy and division with our congregations and organizations. Are we Israel, Gentile, Jews, that is the core of the issue,  I will present to you how Paul utilize legal terms used during the Ancient Near East and biblical language that uses the formulas of legal adoption. The formula is all over the scriptures but we have not being aware of these keys until the late 1800's in which the Nuzi Tablets, Amarna Text, Hittite Legal Codes alone with the Laws of Hammurabi were found. The discovery of these ancient documents gives us a greater understanding of the Political, Social, Religious world during the times of our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I pray that this study will challenge you and answers questions that we've had for years. As for me this perspective is really helped me know where I stand with Messiah, The Torah, And My King YHVH our heavenly Father.

I am a teacher of Scriptures, Torah follower, and believer in Messiah Yeshua. I have been given the opportunity to share the Word of God with many believers around the world. My work as a servant of the Most High God has allowed me to be a voice to spread the good news of the New Testament, unveiling its truth through context and the obedience to the Almighty through his Torah.

  1. Thank you Rico,

Truly foundational work and KEY to so much between the House of Judah and the House of Ephraim. I pray that this would fall on the ears of those who need to hear it.

The way you speak of circumcision in part 4 is probably the best way I have ever heard it explained.

I see further how Israel has wronged their calling – they believe that the kingdom is of Israel but it is of YHVH, a minor distinction that they have failed to make and as you put it, have taken more care of the fences then of the commandments, intents and purposes of His Will.

I am grateful for the equality in His Kingdom, that no person was to be considered common who sought to live in His Way, that He is no respecter of persons and shows no partiality –

Gal 3:26-29 KJV For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. (27) For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (28) There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. (29) And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

I am so humbled to be called by His Name.

Thank you for all the work and study you do.

Okay, question….. part one I think, I am not able to find it now………… If, as scripture states, every one died in the Noatic Flood, how in the world and who in the world would have “met” him, and realized he had survived the trial by water?

    1. Shalom Cristina,

First in Deut 4:26, YHVH identifies heaven and earth as witnesses –

Deu 4:26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed

Then there is a pattern for trials by water, YHVH is always there!

      During the exodus:

      Exo 14:26-27 KJV
      (26) And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.
      (27) And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

      Into the Promised Land:

      Jos 4:1 KJV
      (1) And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,

      With Jonah:

      Jon 2:10 KJV
      (10) And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
      Jon 3:1-2 KJV
      (1) And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
      (2) Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

      and with Kefa:

      Mat 14:29-31 KJV
      (29) And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
      (30) But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
      (31) And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

And finally with regards to your question, with Noah and his family –

      Gen 8:14-16 KJV
      (14) And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
      (15) And God spake unto Noah, saying,
      (16) Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
      Gen 9:1 KJV
      (1) And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

By these two witnesses – The Father and His Son, the truth was established.

  3. wow! Was able to listen to all of these teachings you so kindly, patiently, enthusiastically shared, Rico! What richness has been included within the words in Hebrew, and the ancient-near-east ways which have been built into The Scriptures of Yah!! You are sharing so much, so freely, so that we can rejoice with you in what wonderful truths and insights YHVH has put into what He told men (inspired men by His Ruach) to write down. All … so that we could learn these things, and walk more closely with The One Who first Loved us as His own adopted children! Baruch haShem! YHVH (Yeshua) is awesome! He is echad!

  4. Just finished the teaching. This is such an excellent teaching and is foundational! I really appreciate all the work and study you do to teach His Kingdom His laws, His ways and His purpose. What a joy it is!!!

I do have 1 question where I didn’t exactly follow what you were saying about Sarah and Hagar. I realize Sarah is free and Hagar was the slave woman. I think you were saying that the natural born is from Sarah and the nations are from Hagar. I get that. But is that all you were trying to say?

  5. Shalom Rico… This teaching is fantastic! I’ve been following Torah for about 8 years and my wife about 3 years. We received some troubling news regarding my wife’s health the same day we watched Part 2 I believe. While watch this teaching all of a sudden I had an AH-HA moment and realized my wife never had a submersion baptism (Mikva). How I missed something like that I’ll never know. All I know is that by your teaching my wife’s name is now written in the Lambs Book of Life. I would have been devastated if something happened and I realized she never was baptized. Also, Thank You for the phone call, my wife and myself were greatly comforted by your kind words as we enter into this battle. Shalom in the Home! John & Connie

    1. Shalom John and Connie. I do not know what it is that your wife has but praying for her health. I suggest that she not consume any meats, maybe wild fish once in a while…no farmed fish. Lots of green leafy organic veggies, organic carrots, organic everything. Lots of juicing, home made only: 7 organic carrots, 2 organic apples, 1 handful of organic leafy greens (spinach, kale, etc.), 1 organic banana to sweeten. You need juicer and vita-mix or high powered blender. With juicer…use for carrots and apples. Take that juice and place half of it in blender. Add to blender the banana and leafy greens. Blend on high till everything is liquefied…bring to lowest speed and add the remainder of the juice. You should drink a glass every 2 hours and eat nothing but wholesome vegetable salads, nuts, fruits. This is an every day diet for life. Your whole family will benefit and your body will become healthy again. Our Heavenly Father knew what He was doing when he created us and had us eating nothing but veggies, fruits, and nuts before the fall. HaShem bless you.

  6. Amazing!!! Thank you so much Rico for putting all this together. I’ve only finished part 2 and can’t wait to listen to the remaining parts. And, I can’t wait to get the video and purchase this. I want to send it to some close friends that are still in the religion of dogma. I’ve heard others tell me how to interpret the genealogy of Joseph by creating ways to make Joseph literally from the tribe of Judah. Just twisting and turning the words that it conforms to their beliefs. Hallelu Yah! I’ve been freed from those misconceptions. His Word is His Word!! Todah Rabah!!!

part two……the most beautiful thing was ……so “Welcome you to Israel”……my heart leaps in my chest at the true truth of that statement……..Todah Abba…….!!!!

  8. Joshua led Israel across the Jordan which rolled back as a scroll ON the 10th day of Nissan. Then he circumcised the people, because they had not been circumcised in the wilderness. Then they kept the Passover. Our Yeshua will lead us across the sky which will roll back as a scroll, and the HE will circumcise the people. The mortal physical (flesh) will be no more, and we will have “spiritual bodies” – immortal bodies. THIS is what circumcision pointed forward to. This is why Ezekiel wrote that no one can enter that City who is not circumcised in heart AND in flesh (has an immortal spiritual body).

In fact the first question I posed to my friends on fb was about what happened in Moshe’s case…seeing as how the decree by Pharoah was ALL male Hebrew babies, were to be put to death, I mean I am sure His daughter, did not run home saying”Daddy, Daddy, Daddy………Look what I found in the river !!!! can I keep him?! Can I, can I, can I, Daddy…………. Please?!

    1. Funny, Funny, Funny
that is good one/ You know that I used to read that story and wonder why did the daughter could adopt Moses when the King of Egypt said to be killed and now we got the answers.
      shalom

I thought it funny because I have done this myself.. oh so many times , to the chagrin of my Mother..lol! Certainly every “child” has come home with a critter of some sort…… with the same exclamation!! You, may have done this as well…..so you could Identify!!! I am certain, many a parent has heard the same thing.
I hear you on reading and wondering! I did the same….and yes wondered ……..till now, Praise The Creator and King!
Honestly the word “Princess” always threw me off…….I imagined a”little girl” when hearing the word “princess”.
Having been exposed to “Disney Princesses”, and having seen “The Jungle Book” at age 3 and a halfish …. my little girl mind, continued to see the ending of the movie where “Mogli” was watching the little village girl fill her jug with water.
This truth about “adoption” is sooooo much more “harmonic” to my soul……. as “hungry” and as “thirsty” for the truth as I am/have been/continue to be, this is at least given my soul, something solid and a foundation, that I am blessed to “rest the soul of my foot on” (Genesis 8/9) Shalom!

WOW…..there are no words….I was at the conference in Johnson City Tenn, and all I remember was this blip that was mentioned…… something about trial by water……..and from that moment on, the Holy Spirit began to put 2 and 2 together…….now this is total confirmation to the revelation………so awesome…. Thank you, so much for pursuing, our King…….

  11. Hi Rico,
The teachings that have been a great source of learning for me. I’ve listened to the teachings many times, and each time the teachings grow clearer and clearer. I thank our Father for you often.
I have a question Rico, that has been on my heart for quite some time. I live in an area where I have no access to be Mikvah’d…What are the laws concerning someone like myself?
And, does this effect my legal relationship with The Father in any way?
